HAIRCUTTING CLUB
Haircutting Club is a semi-private, in-person haircutting series hosted at our West Hollywood studio. These are hands-on, mentorship-style classes designed to give stylists close guidance, real-time feedback, and practical, behind-the-chair haircutting skills.
Each class is limited to five students to keep the experience intimate and highly personalized. Instruction includes an organic mix of scissor and razor work, with a strong focus on wearable, modern haircuts.
Students are encouraged to take all four classes as a complete haircutting journey, though classes are also available individually.

Tim Dueñas is a Los Angeles-based hairdresser and educator specializing in modern haircutting and wearable, high-impact salon styles. With 25 years behind the chair, Tim has built a successful career working with loyal clients across Los Angeles, Orange County, and New York City, and continues to travel globally with his celebrity clientele.
As co-founder of Essential Hair Academy, Tim has helped educate and mentor stylists worldwide through hands-on teaching, professional training, and digital education. He is known for his ability to simplify haircutting into clear, repeatable systems, while also specializing in customizing tailored, complementary looks inspired by each client’s lifestyle, personal style, and maintenance needs.
Tim is deeply passionate about continuing the tradition of apprenticeship in the hair industry. He believes haircutting is a skill set that must be taught in person, refined through repetition, and passed down from generation to generation, which is exactly what Haircutting Club was created to do.
